Post subject:  Throttle Cable Question

Looking for the best idea of fuel linkage. I have two very long stock throttle cables and was wondering if they could be shortend. What is a typical throttle linkage used? I have seen some, just use a wire cable run thorough some kind of tube. What works best. Any ideas or opinions appreciated.

Thanks

Before I had mine circled around and it would get hung and had to spray it all the time to keep it lubed. Also if water got in it would freeze on me. I went to a regular wire cable and shortened it at the linkage.

I use the Morse push/pull cables. I just got my new one from www.controlcables.com They make them any length, throw, cable end and connection that you want. Mine is there high end cable with a bulkhead attatchment at each end and is 9' long shipped for $65. I had the red jacket morse on my last rail and it never slipped in the jacket very well, this cable is nice but a little pricey.
