I like the Fierro radiator. It fits nicely and the hose are orientated correctly. And it is ample in cooling capability. 8)

I used an aluminum radiator from Universal Parts off ebay. It came with a really nice aluminum shroud and two Spal fans. I think it was around $500 for everything. I mounted it with two aluminum angles welded to the tanks and rubber grommets so it can move. If I did it again I would consider a top and bottom mount with rubber cushions to "pinch" it rather than "hang" it like I did. It's really solid as pictured but I don't know for how long! I just got a Spal fan controller that is programable and turns only one fan on at 50% until the temp climbs then it turns both on at 100%. It will cycle like that to regulate temp. I have a feeling if I'm moving on the street or something the fans won't run much. I think mine is 31" wide and maybe 14" high. I would have to double check those measurements.

Here is a front shot pretty early on in the build. (Don't worry extra tubes have been added to replace the tube cut for the gas tank!)

You can see the Spal fans from this angle a little better. They were mounted in the shroud when I got it. Pricey but very nice stuff. They have a ton of selections for inlet and outlet placement and sizes. You can find them by searching on ebay for "sand rail radiator".

I like how you mounted the tank I might use some of your ideas. How many gallon tank? I might mount mine like that.

That gives me some more ideas. I need some space to run the lower rad hose and never tought about welding pipe to it. How low are the head pipes hanging? I might have a clearence issue there. Do you have a welder for alum?

I personally like madmike's upper and lower mounts better than mounting on the side tanks like I did. I am concerned about my lasting. I don't really have a good pic of the shock mount but could get one. The tank is an RCI, I believe its 12 gallons. I have mixed feelings on the tank also, they have been known to crack with off road use. I recently added straps to go over the top of the tank to hold it down tightly. Basically I'm unsure about everything it seems!

If you are on a budget go to your local junkyard and get one for a 92-94 nissan maxima, it has duel fans mounted to the radiator, its small, looks decent, designed to cool a v6 and only costs 50 bucks

Here my setup. The radiator is from a 91 to 94 Dodge Shadow. Is was cooling a 4 cylinder in the car and it only has a single fan. Pull-a-part is full of them. Good thing is, I can see over it because its short. I Don't know how well its going to work. I have only had it running where you see it. Waiting on Summer time for the real test.

This rad is only 40 bucks and its compact. The fan is only 17 on ebay. Thats why I was thinking of getting one.

You guys that mount them right behind the seats are nuts. I wouldn't want mine that close to where I sit. Have you ever been scalded with boiling water mixed with antifreeze? It's an ugly sight. If I ran a W/C I would mount the radiator as far back as I could. Way back.

Yea, I was a little worried also but I wanted the extra weight in front of the rear axle. I also mounted the gas tank in front of the radiator and changed the radiator cap from a 16lb to a 7 lb.

I made a alum. shroud sealed to the rad.with a rubber gasket to minimize the chance of getting burnt. The fans blow to the rear across the motor and operate all the time when the engine is running.
