Fits nice and looks good. What do you plan to use for coolant lines? I have been working on them myself.

It's a thing of beauty. that left tire on the last pic looks real light. You just gave a secret away. I wish I had thought of tilting my engine like you did. 8)

Dave and I are trying a few things to see if we can build a headrer style exhaust to look like a v-dub pipe. As for the rad we are looking at several different styles of rads and Im not sure whitch one to use yet. I've been busy with work and finishing the apt above my garage to rent out. Its good to finally work on it again. Hows your buggys comin along?

A buddy of mine has a pipe bender for exhaust, we are goin to bend up some cooling lines. I would like to use aluminum pipe but dont know if we can bend it without kinking it.

I wondered the same thing. I decided to use 1.5" stainless. The problem with stainless is I had to buy a whole 20' stick. If you decide to go stainless let me know I should have some left over! That is unless I totally screw something up, which is likely. I went 1.5" because I have a bender with that die.

I've been told that stainless bends good depending on if 304 or 403 what ever the numbers are. If you fill it with light sand it wont kink. There is a web site that has v-8 in their buggys and there runing small lines through the 1.5 tubes with an fittings. What engine are you putting in? I got ahold of a oil cooler from an excavator that is all alum. I might try to use it as a rad or use a scirocco rad not sure yet.

The brakes are a set from empi, I think? they have emergancy brakes on them. I was in a shop this week and I belive they are the same as mustang rear brakes around 94 year car. Pads and calipers lokk identical

I'm running a 2.3L Ford Turbo. My bender is a mandrel bender so it shouldn't kink anyway. The stainless is 304. There is also 316 but I really don't know the difference.

The amounbt of carbon in the metal. 316 has less carbon than 308,304 and so on. stick a magnet to 304 it will attract to it.

mandrel bent aluminum, stainless tubing, this where I got my stuff.
Don't waist your time bending aluminum tube unless it's heavy wall, you'll crush it before you'll bend it.

ALSO remember www.mcmaster.com you can buy short lengths of tubing I use them all the time for stuff like that.

Thank you Dave, its a privlage to have your expert fab work on my car. We added some x-braces and are ready to mount the seats. I also have to thank Jason for his help and Mike for all the info on Suby swaps.
