Are any of you guys addeding a sump to your round aluminum tanks to prevent starving the pump and motor while climbing

None but filter type and location are important 100 micron before and 40 micron after the Russell filters with the serviceable filters work best

X2 on the Russell style filters ... Almost 20k MI on my buggy and never a hiccup.

I run a surge tank. That way you know you will never lose pickup.
