Just got my 2.4 from AFI yesterday. Feels like being little kid at Christmas all over again. Can't wait to get started on the swap, but this thing is CLEAN. The adapter plate, flywheel, ECU & custom harness is sick - top notch stuff! Good job Shaun, another happy customer here - well worth the wait.

LOL - you'll prob have yours installed and running before me ...I've got way too many projects!!! On shipping time, I'm not a good one to judge it by. Lots of innocents slowed my order down. I ordered it back on Dec 3rd, they had the motor done quick and ready for shipping - even sent me a picture of it done. but then the top half of the USA was snowed in. All freight halted for weeks. Then a shipping incident delayed it a little longer. It was fine though - Shaun kept me updated along the way, communication was great. I had lots to do getting my old WC sold and parted out anyway.

Its the little things right? :P ...whats got me most excited is they normally tune for premium fuel, but I had Shaun tune it for regular octane. I might loose a couple HP but I get the added convenience of only needing one spare gas can that works with all my toys :D

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b62 ... 1390965033 Try installing that monster this way. See how the shifter and cables just simply bolt to the floor. 219:1 2nd gear x's 316:1 ring and pinion x's 307:1 Lincoln Mark 7 aluminum diff equals 21.24 turns per axle rotation. A 538 bus is 20.44. Perfect for roasting 35 and 38 Boggers. Tsl 40's etc. 3rd gear, 4th and 5th are very close and low geared. No more bus trans or junk off the internet. It's 5 years old and still no busted trans. Go with an Ecotec automatic!

2nd gear is 21:24 and 3rd is 12.61 rpm's per 1 axle rotation. A 538 for example is 11.03:1 in 2nd gear. So basicly, my 3rd pulls stronger than a 538 2nd.

Im rockin' a 3 rib right now, a couple other local WC guys running them too. I've been told as long I treat her right she wont leave me. We will see. If you pulled up next to me I would not know what to do, prob put in reverse and run. Your buggy scares me LOL  That is an innovative and unique buggy you built! Got any videos of it climbing?

This current motor escaped from the junk yard. It has 150 compression if it is warmed up. Medium blow-by. I have a good motor on deck with 190-210, but I don't climb anything substantial anyway. Been hurt t00 many times and my finances can not deal with hospitals. I can tell ya this. It grips better the steeper and the front A arms lift up every now and then but atleast I do not have to let off the gas like my old traditionally mounted w/c. This has a 113" wheel base and 80" wide with cut 35's. I took the uncut TSL 40's off. It may be too heavy for hillclimb competition, but it floats over rocks.

Wish I was down there to join in on the excitement and help on the project Unclejerm. I was looking at some past spring time ride pictures and arrived at this conclusion: WE NEED TO GET BUSY!! Awesome riding weather coming up, and so many places needing explored.

Shaun, you might want to sinch down on the engine straps a bit more, my engine was a tad loose. Nothing major but just a consideration.
