Well i have been looking at getting a honda k24 motor and putting a k20 head on it with some cams and a nice exhaust should give me about 260 HP at the wheels at 8000 rpm all day long. Has anyone done this on here ? I am also wondering what trans to run with it. I have a 6 rib 091 right now that i am running with my 2180, do you all think that there is any chance that it will hold up to that motor for any decent amount of time, if not then what would be a good choice.

Also if i go with the 091 trans then i will need to find a adapter plate or bell housing. I have looked at kep performance but only seen a mounting plate for a honda b16 witch turns in the wrong direction to run on a vw trans.

UN5, and I'll let you know once it's running

Having said that, the previous motor was 260+ horsepower and that was a blast when it was working, we're aiming for 350 with the new one though.

I have a 3.5 VTECH in my buggy but I have to give the build credit to 40deg north.

Here is the build thread of the motor.

While your converting over , now would be a good time to also convert to a 1984 and later Vanagon Mid shift trans.
