 Post subject: Ecotec fuel pump

Im running the chep summit efi pump. I had to pull it out and found this rubber sticking out the end it runs fine but it was not there before im going to swap it out. Anyone have any ideas what it is or why with would happen?

Also anyone running a pump other then this one or the e2000 pump been looking on summit most are only rated for 45psi or less and the better name ones that are over 50psi are over $200

has to be something from inside the pump because if in went through the pump you would of heard it.

I should have added I have my pressure regulator set at 60 psi

Here is what im running now. I picked up off ebay as NOS for 38 shipped. If anyone is looking for a quiet pump this is the one to get. It makes NO sound at all.

I think its the same as the summit pump. But I have heard of 2 jeep guys burning up the msd one less then a year.

Rock auto.. 89 f-150 pump about $50, we've been running 3 of them for over 2 years. No problems.
