If you could put a diesel engine on a buggy, say a small 3 or 4 cylinder, would it have the the rpms to do any climbing i know it would have the torque. Any info on this topic? If the info hoes any where id like to try this one day. |

I've thought a rabbit diesel would be interesting.. more for the novelty of it. Also there are adapter plates available. I guess it'd have to be a 1.6td. I'd guess to expect a little better than stock beetle engine performance? Wouldn't want to be behind one on the trails tho... but it would be so simple. All you need is a radiator, since there is no fuel injecton or ignition... just the fuel cut-off solenoid. |

I don't know much about them but I did pull a 1.9 diesel out of a 97 Jetta to get the trans once. It was a NICE lookin sharp clean ready to go motor. |
