 Post subject: subaru low oil pressure

Noticed the oil pressure dropping after it warmed up motor doesn't make and noises and runs normal any ideas on what it coils be?

How low is low? What type gauge are you using, mechanical, electrical? What is the pressure when it's not at idle, say 2000 rpm? What weight oil? How many miles on it?

Low is 2-5lbs running a mechanical gauge running 5w30 and not sure on the rpms or mileage of the motor

As long as you get about 10 psi per 1000 rpm, you should be fine.
