I finally got it RIGHT! Took the Buick V6 single seater out last week end. I got an extra 10 inches of trailing arm length ,stock width, with 14 tooth driver and 20 tooth driven sprockets . With a 483 side shift .With 40" Swampers. It is just grab a grip and go! No rare up wheelies, an incredible soft ride while on washed out hills. It was the 1st ride after ditching the 33 tooth rear sprocket and going to a 20 tooth. It is PERFECT. I get a grunt 1st at about 640:1 and about a 400:1 in 2nd. I need a few ft to wind up starting off in 2nd, but that loooong 400 is just rite. How many of us just run out of gear? It is hard to stop those 40's once they get rolling and speed recovery is instant with that muscle 3800cc. 1st gear is best for chugging up washed out rocks at a steady pace. But it is sooo nice to have two 1st gears , so to speak. I'm telling all the water cool guys. Narrow baby chains is the way to go! Oh , I also have 22 inches of heigth under the oil pan with the frame sagging 6 or 7" more. The long soft trailing arm is what rolls over the rocks, like a big chain drive does. Also, I don't have that roll side to side ride that most chain drives have.

All 3 of my buggies have ba!!$. I don't... My wife Julie has climbed much more than I have in the past 5 years.I'll build em and cut the cliffs just to live vicariously through them. When you have a bad flip and get your noggin cracked like I did in '03, that's bad. But when you realize ol Studley Hungwell is going to live in your house, blow the $125k life insurance policy, sit in your chair , watch your big screen , whoop your kid, sell your truck , ride your buggies, throw your toys to the street, kick your dog, and bang yer w!ff , while you rot in a box !!! THEEEEEN you take a real good hard look. Come to Leeds this week end and witness DER Panzervagen on moderate stuff.
