 Post subject: 2.5 turbo

will a stock 6 rib hold up to 2.5 turbo or should i install super diff initially?

I would say that a super diff would be a definite. A Weddle 3 & 4 gear should be in the future. :mrgreen:

Weddle everything especially if your going to exceed 200 HP

It will depend on how you drive.. If you go really easy and only ride easy trails, you will be fine with a 6 rid. If you plan to hit hills or difficult trails, you will need a super diff and weddle gears.

Hmmm! It would seem to me that if someone intends to use a Turbo Motor in a Buggy they are not going to be be driving Ms. Daisy! :wink: :mrgreen: Super diff and 1 thru 4 Weddles minimum.

Stop it ! I shucked a many of side shifts with my Buick v6. Do not hope, guess or fathom harmony with a vw trans and a power house.My biggest problem was case flex, the gears move apart from each other then shuck. The trans that came with the motor is what you want.I know the Passat has been down for a while with a bad wire but I have not busted a trans .Diff yes.but they are cheap and plentiful at Pull a Part.

OK then whats the point of having all the extraBS that goes along with a Tirbo motor if your just gonna poke around thru the woods, the wow and cool factor? :roll: :mrgreen:
