 Post subject: ecotec throttle body

i am finishing up my collecting stuff for my motor and i need a throttle body because mine was fly by wire.
What year and model cars can i get the correct cable throttlebody.

Have you got it running yet? I am very interested to know if you really can eliminate the DBW and still use the newer ECM. There are conficting stories out there so I need to here it from someone that has actually done it.
