 Post subject: high idle

my subaru 2.2 has been running at high idle around 2grand maybe a little more i noticed if i pinch the return line with my finger it drops the idle about 500 any of you guys running these motors ever have a high idle issue and and if you have a tach where about is yours idleing thanks

we did a suby swap and it had an idle problem and im pretty sure it was a problem between the pvc plumbing and air to the idle air control

Mine idles right at 600 rpm, I suspect you have a vacuum leak, spray some wd40 around intake,vacuum hoses, etc to see if you can find it.

i will try what both you say i looked at my hose for my mass air flow sensor it is loose where i put sealer around it and i will also check for vaccuum leaks thanks guys
