Even more puzzling, what's the need? Plumb your fuel system correctly there is no need for any surge tank.

There is a need for a surge tank in my race buggy. Hard cornering would leave me spitting and sputtering and even stalling. I have also heard it is common in rally cars and road racing cars. I am just using a low pressure electric fuel pump for my supply to the tank.

I dont really have a need for it but it sounds like a good idea to me. If im going up a hill I dont want to lose my pickup.

Just put a sump and baffles in your aluminum tank and you shouldnt have any problems.

We always just used to run a sump and a set of baffle plates with the tank in the rear.

Now we're running a plastic tank that's quite tall and narrow up front, plus foam, seems to be fine.
