The gearbox looks like the unit RPM ($2500.00) makes and is actualluy a foward-neutral-reverse 8:1 ratio. Its not a 2 speed. The CVT is very similar to whats used on Snowmobiles. I have a very similar setup on my Pilot project with the 126 HP Rotax twin. I am using the stock Pilot F-N-R gearbox shown below.

Thanks for the info. I have showed the pics of your rocket powered pilot to a bunch of people. I want to see that thing in action. I guess that belt drive wouldn't work for this buggy as he is running rear engine and they run sideways on predator buggy.
