Hopefully bolting my new Subaru up soon... Should I run motor mounts ( I was guessing YES) ??? If so do they need to be anything special or just solid mounts that come off the frame??? Thanks.

My bellhousing is mounted top ears and bottom, no motor mounts.
No problems for 8 yrs.

Some folk use motor mounts, some don't. I didn't on my last build and I'm thinking on using them on this build. I didn't have any problems not having them, just cheep insurance. All it needs to be is a solid mount if everything is solid mounted.

I supported the wishbone to the frame at the ends near the engine..was fine for the 4 cylinder..when I went to a 6 banger I made some motor mounts at the factory location on the suby,,kinda hanger style.

I made a solid mount that I welded to the stock motor mount plates.

Run a pair to the rear half cage on ours, we cracked a bellhousing back on the old VW so not risking it with the rotary.

That looks easy enough. I am using all four mounting points on my bellhousing as well so I don't think it will go anywhere. Thanks for the suggestions.
