Not sure if this applies to older obd1 engines or not. but I have a 96 2.2 obd2 engine in my rail. The engine was hitting the rev limiter at 4400 rpm and occasionally stalling when I stopped. I installed the v.s.s emulator from enginewiring.com and now the rev limiter is 5900 and it does not stall when I stop. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but thought I would share the info.

Some of the obd1 engines work OK without it,,but I build a homemade one for my first efi engine and never even tried it without it. Now I have the vss fix from enginewiring.com.
