I believe that's correct. If you trace the lines, the one that goes straight to the injectors is the supply, and the one coming from the pressure regulator is the return.

what have u suby guys been doing for a water temp guage? and were are you putting the sending unit???

Mine is plumbed in the line to the radiator. A small sensor put into a Galvonized t-fitting with some reducers. seems to work, lol. Hey, at least there is a guage!
