A great guy passed away today doing what he loved to do fighting fires .. Anyone that knows Daryl knows he loved the VW people didn't matter who you was . Your gonna be missed my friend RIP

Sorry to here, I found out yesterday, I'm working on a fire seen running heavy equipment for fire investigators, and one of the investigators was saying he knew Daryl from when he was a firefighter, and he was a great person, its a small world to find out he was a Woodsbuggy member. This is truly sad to here. RIP |

Firefighters are a special bunch of folks, endlessly giving to their communities, true heroes all of them. Never met the man, yet somehow I'm still effected by his passing. Rest in Peace brother. |

I didn't know him personally but I'm certain I have seen him at the local swaps and shows. Apparently he was a member of cincy vw club according to their FB page. The following is a post from the club: "For those members who are not aware, Darryl Gordon, fallen Cincinnati Fire Fighter, was a founding member of the Cincy VW Club. Darryl enjoyed drag racing Beetles and was frequently found at local swap meets looking for parts and enjoying conversation with everyone. If you can please support the event below, it will be appreciated. The Club will be sending flowers to the services. Sunday, March 29th SHINE A LIGHT AT YOUR HOME in memory of Cincinnati Fire Department member Daryl Gordon, who lost when he fell down an elevator shaft attempting multiple rescues. Please keep a nightly vigil to honor his courage and sacrifice." |

about the entire city of Cincinnati participated in the funeral procession today for daryl Gordon. what a huge display of respect for this hero.. RIP BROTHER
