I have been giving my dad a hand rebuilding his Hotchkiss 34MLE 25MM anti-tank gun. This gun was captured and used by the nazis in WW2. After WW2 it was returned to the french who ended up selling it to the vietnamese who used it against us in vietnam. It ended up in the states years later at some biker bar in california that got busted for converting semi-automatic wepons to full-auto. We bought it from a guy in bakersfield a year or so ago. It was de-milled when we got it. After filling out all the paperwork, paying for a tax stamp and waiting almost a year, we were givin permission to "re-mill" it and shoot it.

I rigged up a sand blast booth in my garage. That was a dusty mess!

we couldn't find the correct oilers to replace the missing or broken ones so I made a few out of brass stock.

That is bad ass. Now be truthful, is it for deer or hog hunting. Killed, skinned and hamburger all in one shot!

4Th of July is going to be kick ass at your house this year. Can you mount that to the race buggy? That would get the King out of the way.

That would be sweet! I was reading that the buggies the military uses have tried big guns like this. They put a 57MM anti-tank gun on them but if they were not careful about how they fire it, the recoil would flip the buggy over!

Single shot weapons used to be OK, it was fitting large calibre automatics that caused the problems

We tested the GAU-19 on a rail back in the late eighties.. if you fired forward or rearward it was fine :D

How many rounds have you put through the Hotchkiss?
