What a day :!: For the last 8 months Karen has been taking care of a dear friend of ours.He had throat cancer and no one else to take care of him.He started the treatments [chemo/radiation]he had to be fed threw a feeding tube for the last 7 months and taken to all his appointments so Karen being Karen she made it her mission to save him.It was a struggle the whole time in and out of the Hospital but she stayed with him.He passed away at home wed from a staff infection he caught in the hospital.......He was cancer free.....She won the fight but lost the battle
We buried him Friday the 13Th. As we were putting one of my best friends in the ground my oldest son called and told us our first grand child was just born.God works in mysterious ways as one soul left our lives another came in

Sorry to hear about your friend. I had cancer similar to his and did chemo and radiation. It was on my tongue, I give her all the credit in the world, my wife was there for me at every appointment and my 9 hr surgery. The support from care givers give us the strength to make it through the worst treatment that could be thought of. Don't ever take her for granted because I know how much she meant to him. Bless you and her.

It takes a special person to give so much. A grandchild is special too. Sorry to here about your friend.

Yes it does. I don't think I could have stood to have come so close and it end so bad.Kbaby is a very special person that's why I married her :wink: And on a good note the grand baby is doing great :lol:

I've been blessed with 5 grand babies, since my cancer. Thank God every day for them. they saved my life. Gave me something to fight for, when I was ready to quit.
