PROPANE 179 a gal not 9.9

Yeah, but it smells like a bucket of farts!!

I actually looked into runnin it, but it was gonna cost too much to do the conversion for something I didnt know if it would work out well or not for me. I couldnt find definative answers to my questions.

I heard a canister of propane that is the same app. size as my 8 gal. tank will burn up in half the time gas will.
True or not?

Still interested in it, if I could talk to someone whos tried it on a performance VW motor.

Do yall run propane in your wife's AC VW buggy?

Ky, Propane does not have enough B.T.U.'s. It will not make as much power as racing fuel in a naturally aspirated engine.That is why I use propane on my woodsbuggy and racing fuel on my hillclimber.

larry i have read it this way...

1 gallon gas = 1.5 gallons of propane.
