There has been some discussion on Facebook about events for next year. Since it is extremely difficult to maintain a long-term conversation on Facebook, I thought it would be best to start a thread on the forum.

My thoughts for woodsbuggy.com in 2016

1) Partner with off road parks to hold their own hill climb competitions. Events managed by the park and supported by WoodsBuggy.com.

2) Woodsbuggy.com will host two BuggyFest events in 2016. One in spring and one in fall.

I got the idea after watching JeepFest last weekend here in Atlanta. The event will last all weekend and have lots of different things. Here are some of my ideas and other ideas from Facebook. Please let me know your thoughts.

Playground of hills
Bounty hill with a payout
Hare scramble through the woods
Trail riding
Night Poker Run with light sticks and prizes
Weigh station to determine weight of buggy and center of gravity
Vendor row for sponsors to show off and sell products
Swap Meet for used parts
Food vendors and a band

Please add your thoughts and ideas. I will start to plan out next year events in November.

As always... These events take a lot of work. If you are interested in helping, please let me know.

Thanks

Adding a Teeter Totter to the list... Might need to get MadMike to help me build this.. Drive up one side and then wait until the Teeter Totter falls before you can drive away.

Here is the general idea but we would build them MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger and fall to the ground..

Yea I saw that on Facebook it's a great idea maybe have one up north and one down here in the south so us poor folks can make it to one of them. It would be awesome for a whole weekend event so good luck with it

Sounds great!!! What about an obstacle course or a barrel race like you would see at a horse show. With steering brakes in mind a short tight little barrel race might be fun. Maybe some dirt drags. Just throwing out ideas. No matter what I like the idea of a weekend full of good times. I think participation would be greater.

Hey Dan I am down to join up with you on making this happen. When you get time shoot me a message or give me a call at 567-267-0482 or you can txt anytime. I like everything you have said The two main things a I care about is a timed hill climb that is a challenge but not to crazy that anybody and every body could enter. I also would like to See a Buggy Outlaw hill put up or shut up Ac vs Wc.

I have 3 guys that have gotten a hold of me wanting to sponser prizes and money. Any like I said get a hold of me when you have time

That is awesome and thank you for joining in. Right now, I am focused on the event in a few weeks. After the finale event, I will have a meeting in October to start discussing the details around the events.
