Hey! I'd like to announce that the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Bocephus will be at the 2013 Al hillclimb!. but they won't come so I won't announce it.

LBL (AKA Turkey Bay.... AKA Land Between the Lakes) is a huge off road park with many miles of trials. They have a bunch of great hills and technical trails. Something for everyone.

Here is a link to GoOHV..

DTOR is close to home. Sounds awesome to me and I'll just be a spectator. I don't have the balls to barrel roll my buggy back down the hill yet, or the money to fix it.

Rush has 3500 acres open right now and you can night ride. And if they get enough traffic this year they will be opening another 3500. So if no hillclimb, would atleast like to get a big weekend ride planned.

At rush can you get a day pass or do you have to get a year pas? Also do they have camping? I would like to come down if there is a big ride.

I like the idea of two hill limbs in ky it's pretty central for most I believe and last year was my first year I loved it. Keep up the good work everybody and good luck this year.

I wonder if the forestry dept at lbl will allow a competition hill climb. They have been pretty strict about staying on the trail and closing down hills that have been made.

imo from previous experience with "gov" run parks and having been to lbl several times in the past, it would be best to have a poker run and maybe climb a hill at each "card spot" and everybody "just show up" rather than announce an "event" to the park, if they would even go for it i feel certain there would be forrest rangers crawling all over turkey bay/lbl, if they new in advance that a big group/crowd/club was coming for an "event" i think they would be keeping a watchful eye and would be doing "cooler checks", however with that being said i would love to go to turkey bay for a ride with all my woodsbuggy friends whether it be a hillclimb, poker run, or just a meet and greet/party kinda like the wellsville memorial day event

good advice ! i know alot of people show up for just the hilclimb and leave. but i like to make a trip out of it and ride and enjoy the park and people. i dont litter or start shit or disrespect people, property, or rules ! and i always drink when i ride, and i'd hate to have a bad experience with the law  early planning=great times 8)
