It's all dry camping. There is one spot at Oak Tree that has a 30 amp plug. That's it. He does have a well with a hose attached to it up by the office. I am afraid things will change by Memorial Day. I have a feeling Oak Tree w |

that place ain't goin no where! thats all small town rumors. I camp down in yellow creek. We've got parking. As far as hook ups go we have water (if it rains) elect.(if you got a solar panel) and sewer( port-a-let) come on down next memorial day. |

Last time I was there the guy at Oaktree told me that the EPA wasn't letting the permits out to do what they wanted. So he said everything will stay the same till 09. Likely nothing will happen. I know we all want to see it stay the same but weren't they going to build something there to make cheaper fuel? Like turn coal into diesel. |

The dude at forbidden zone told us that they wanted to put a jet fuel refinery in there somewhere. He talked a big game like he would never sell and figured he'd be the only one left to tell them to piss off. Hopefully the dude actually owns a sizeable chunk of land and he won't sell. |

There is 174 acres over there and to make a long story really, really short, he does not actually own it. |

at first oak tree was supposed to close at the end of 06 and eveyone had to get there campers out. Then it changed to one more year. Supposedly the guy who owns oak tree was going to get a quarter mill retainer on the land from the developers but then I heard he never saw a dime. From what I've seen and heard there were developers who came to LOOK at the land as a possible site for refinery. They looked at many other sites also. There were also people from nasa's glen lewis center who looked at that spot. But I found out they looked at many spots along the river. (i know people at the nasa branch in Cleveland) What happens alot is companys tell the locals they are gonna build in the town, the town bends over backwards to get them to set up shop there. The company tells alot of towns that and who ever gives them the best deal they go with and to hell with the rest, The same thing happened in South Amherst Ohio. Some britts were gonna turn and old quarry into a country club. The britts told the town they were gonna spend big money there and bring in alot of buisness then nothing ever happened. Mostly whats going on in wellsville is nothing more than small town rumors. I will believe it when the sheriff is there telling us we cant ride there. |

I don't know jeff and george. I am over in the ghetto. Back by where the tracks v together at. site O 5. I had a white s 10 blazer with blue flames, now I have a flat black buggy. The buggy made its first trip thanksgiving. Wasted the clutch but you'll have that. There are some people across the tracks that have a pirate flag on there camper and I think they are the ones who blast the stereo all night. One night I believe they were having a Dio marathon. I'm not complaining, Dio is ok. You camp there? |
