If D@K is not a option then I will vote for rush. Never been there but looking forward to going. Dtor does have some great hills and it is close. But the people who live around the park stay in the owners ass. Way too many rules.

they were pure as*ses when we were their at the last hillclimb , we were not welcomed by the other off roaders ( well most of them anyways ) they tried to make us move after the hillclimb started & the like of resturants was horrible , only a pizza resturant that was decent , lodging was bad also !!
in other words it sucked & roger went cliff diving and lost his buggy , almost starved to death before he reached the bottom of that canyon he fell into !!!

where are you talking about ron? harlan? i seem to remember at the last climb there people saying they were being assholes, but there always cool to us when we go down there. dtor has never hosted a woodsbuggy event YET  the locals will end up shutting that place down  but im going to have to place my vote for rush!! night riding being one reason, and its a bigger park! website says primitive camping only, permits are $25 for a week or $75 for a year, and thats per vehicle, so im sure ill be getting a year permit! someone close needs to talk to them and get the ok for it and coordinate with roger on making it a final. and i also agree with not agreeing on pineville, to many gravel roads!

yeah dave , it was harlen i was thinking bout , got'em mixed up , sorry if anyone from dtor read my post before dave corrected me !!! lol
i seen rush's webpage also rick , does look like some good terrain , i would be in for that one as well !!

Looks like Rush is going to be were the race will be held. I don't really see any other parks being voted for in such mass quantity so im going to be contacting them tomorrow to work out some details. If all goes well and this is were we hold the race i will schedule a trip to Ashland and i will need someone willing to Host the event and as many helpers that will meet me there also. We will find the hills and go over some helpful tips that will make the race go as smooth as possible. All people interested in helping please get in touch with me so that i can obain a contact list for STAFF member for the race....Thanks Rodger Brown

well with no update im just tryin to stir the pot a little  i hosted haspins last year, well me and nitro , and it is definately some planning and work involved. this thread just seemed to have died when he asked for someone to host the event! so i took that as he was not gonna take full responsibility for everything? i could be wrong though  wouldnt be the first time

Post subject:  Re: Kentucky Hillclimb location

i would vote but since i am new to rail buggies and hill climbing, i don't count ! but i do like the idea of night riding and trail riding. so which ever is the best for that has my vote. since i have not been to either park that is being voted on, but both are about the same distance form me.
so i will let the experts decide and try to show up!
