My brother really wants an auto in his buggy but can't find one he is happy with. He runs a 6 rib now with a 4.3 chevy hooked to Mostly Street and sand driven. Any suggestions? |

I am in process of putting a 3sp auto transaxle from a Vanagon in my wife's 2276 vw buggy. Dont think it would handle a 4.3 though without gear reduction thru a chain drive system. I do have a friend who is running a pretty powerful Acura motor rear engined with an automatic transaxle without chain drive, but its some kinda aftermarket somethin or other and he has BIG money in it. |
