Post subject:  930 cv problem

Got a 930 cv that is stuck in the stub axle. I have the inner race and balls out to work on it, but no luck. any ideas?

Can't believe I'm saying this.............Get a bigger hammer. And maybe a block of wood, it's hammer time.

At least it didn't come out without thinking about it.

I had some latest rage 930 stubs that had to get machined down a touch so the cv didn't get stuck. Sounds like the case.

Might be the problem, got stuck last year too. Maybe after I grind the welds down it will slide in and out easier :shock:

hell, my first buggy had the spring plates welded to the trailing arm. (not by me)

You know, If you weld it you don't have to worry about the bolts coming loose. :shock:

Had to weld 2 tabs on it so I could use my gear puller on it. Still didn't come off easy.

I've had to thump 'em pretty good with a hammer from time to time, but nothing like that.
Waterpumper leak on it n make it rust in place? :P :mrgreen: j/k, glad it worked out. 8)

I think it was a rust issue. Thought I put anti-sieze on it last yr. Must not have.
