Here's what it does. It's not the trans, I think its the rubber mount. There's a lot of banging sounds you can't hear in video.

Front transmission mount is rubber on my Baja. The bolts on frame are vertical, not like on a rail. It made it easier to raise the rear up almost an inch. Do they make an adapter for this or am I going to have to make me one? |

3 bolts from the rubber to the plate and 2 studs hanging down from the frame. |

Yes, I used the ones that I had. Thinking that first gear was bad, so I put my 3 rib in, it's doing the same thing. I thought maybe the cv's was popping, but when I pushing it outside to work on it ( about 10' ) there was no noise & didn't fill loose. Well maybe me grunting. The horns are good not cracked. When I put the engine in it didn't look like the back set down at all. No problem putting the axels & cv's. I raised the rear trans up about 3/4", couldn't do any thing with the front. The rubber mount is pushing the trans back to the rear 1/2" - 3/4". Having problems with shifting. Is there to much force on the shocks working against the torsion bar. It is raised fairly high. |

You have a late model pan. If your rear mount is solid the front one should be. You have to fab one. Use an adjustable shift rod end to make the shifter work. My mid mounts are home made I have a triangulated strap welded in under the transaxle and a bolt in strap over it. Here are some pictures of a modified shifter rod. I removed the section of a late model shift rod to attach it to an early style adapter. The late coupler is a little bit more forgiving.   Here is the triangulated lower portion of the mid strap.
