not sure how many ppl know this.. but a vw cabriolet's inner cv's are the same size as bus... you can actually buy them at the local parts store...the cv it self is around 80.00 with a 90 day warranty... but you can buy a complete axle ass. for around 60.00 and they come with lifetime warranty..... :shock:

same bolt pattern....the axle you cannot use you can only use the inner cv's but for that price an have a lifetime warranty coulndt beat it....ive also found gkn's on the web for 80.oo with one yr warranty

i did some reasearch on them. i'm gonna go and get two from a junk yard and if they're long enough im gonna make stuff to just fit the whole assembly in there if its possible......... maybe it will work :twisted:

anythings possible but i dont think you would benefit from it and you would have to make trailing arms ...to much work and know advantages...the left and right axle are different lenghts just so you know

did you do this yet? i was looking at this a few years back and the way the center part is it seemed like it wouldnt have as much travel. idk

havent used them yet picked up a car for the motor n figured i better pull the axles aprt n ck them out...well as far as i know type 4 for and porsche cv's have the most travel at 22 degrees other than race prepd, 930's an so on, maybe im wrong...they have said they can run 18 with no work which is more than type 2's...they aslo run two different sizes, 90mm and 100mm... which you know, you need 100mm...
