Empi 930's are JUNK, I used to run them and kept breaking them, I even broke 2 of them with the chromoly cages in them, I switched to GKN Lobro's and never missed a beat since and make sure you have good axles, I prefer SAW axles, they are hard to beat as well, I even broke 2 Empi axles too.

i run the empi 930 race prepped with the chrome moly cages and have not had any problems. make sure you run limit straps and they are adjusted right. they will stretch so check them once in awhile so that you dont bind the cv's. i had to replace the star gear and balls because the straps stretched and i didnt check the travel, with that said, things were pretty shot but the cv's never failed all last season.

I have always heard the Empi 930s were garbage too. But I run Lobros, Yankee runs Empis. We usually ride together and go the same places. Same frames, same suspension components. I broke a cage once, but he has never had the first problem with the Empis. Go figure.
maybe its drivin ability. Better driver can go same places with cheaper parts 8)

I have never ran empis, but lots of guys I race with do, and the only problem I have heard is that they might wear a little quicker. I wouldnt be afraid to run them. Just be sure to smooth out all the sharp edges before you grease them, even if they are "race preped" or even the lobros need some work brand new.

I have sacked out one pair of Sway-A-Ways and snapped the end off another. Granted the snapped one was not really engauged enough into the spring plate so it did have some bearing on the failure. Just saying that even the top of the line parts are not Bullet proof.
