What are the differences between a pre 83 091bellhousing and a 83-91 091 sideshift bellhousing? Are there any and are they interchangable. Same length? Thanks. |

whats the diference in cross shafts? I got a side shift vanagon trans but is has wrong bell housing. Its small has a very small cross shaft and no throwout bearing guide. I already have a kep adapter kit and i don,t want to get a bellhousing if it won,t work. Will a 3 rib bell work? I will buy or trade for a bellhousing. Thanks again. |

I think the cross shaft is splined wrong , and so the arm is pointed in a different direction. |

That is an early 3 rib bellhousing. Your linkage shipped today from the machine shop. Thanks Tony |
