First off great site with alot of great ideas floating around. I was wondering if anyone had some pictures of their mid-shift trans mounts. I mainly need Ideals on the nose cone side. But all mounts would help me spark an ideal. I'm a conservitive guy so most stuff garage built. That why I love this site. I did a search but all the pics were gone. Thanks in advance Jeff

I looked thru my pics and I do not have a good one of the front mount. The Midshift trans is longer than a nosecone 6 rib so the existing mount will have to be cut off and replaced with a plate closer to the Torsion.. When I first Installed the trans I was unable to use the bottom bolts because of the plate being so close to the torsion so I welded a plate on one of the horns and used the two bosses to mount to. When I put the Subaru motor in I lowered the front of the trans for clearence and was able to use all 4 bolts.

I do have a subaru 2.5 dohc waiting to go in. So dropping the nose like you did would be great. I did cut the tabs off the lower by the nose. Hope I didn't need those for anything. Thanks for the info every little bit help. I'm new to buggys last year. I lost most of my suzuki samurai buddies. So i try to catch the tips and tricks.
Thanks Jeff

Thanks for the great offer. But i have some rear torsion braces where that would mount. But speaking of that mount and the subaru motor. Is anyone running there their bellhousing side mount an inch higher. I seen this mount. http://www.pacificcustoms.com/AC311231.html

No problem.. Thanks for looking..

As for the other mount, I think that mount will raise the engine but you will lose ground clearance. If my thinking is correct, you will actually lose overall ground clearance by only raising the rear of the tranny. When you raise the bell housing, you will also raise up your CV joints and the rest of the car will sit lower.
