I had no reverse in this new buggy project I have gotten. Took the the front cover off to find the pin that the shift rod uses to move the interal lever had fell down. Looking at a blow up it appears to have had a clip on it. Does the small end go up or down? I see no grove for the clip. Could the piece that hold the clip in broken off? thanks

The front cover holds that pin in place, when it is installed.

thanks, so when the cover is installed it rides on a portion of the cover to hold the pin in place with out a clip or such to support it. thanks again I'll go try it again.
