Hi Guys
New guy here.
I am in the process of building a 4 seat Beeline Pack Rat.
Bus 2.0 and 6 rib tranny for riding in the North Georgia mountains and woods.
I was wondering if the 1st and 2nd gears could be changed to make 2nd low like 1st and 1st a granny gear for creeping in the rough? Or would I have to change all four?
Tim

I got my second down to what my first was by using aftermarket first and second gear set with a 4.86 ring/pinion with 1.5-1 gear reduction in my babychains,,,,it takes a lot to make second as low as first. You can do it but it aint easy. If you dont use chains you would have to go as low as you can with the R/P plus weddle gear set but the lower you to with the R/P the weaker it gets. If you have a lot of power and a light buggy and run 31" tires, you can use a second that is lower than stock but still not as low as your first.

If you are trying to do it on a budget, just change out the ring and pinion to a 5.37 out of a diesel Vanagon. This will lower everything all the way across the entire spectrum.

Could some one post a link to a stock gearing chart. I'd like to know what I've got before considering any changes. Thanks.
