Anybody know where to info on converting a six rib to run a torque converter? Do you think it will hold up to Suby Power?

Standard bus (3, 5, or 6 rib) with type 1 auto stick bell housing, clutch, torque converter, and flex plate.
Can be mated easily to type 1 or with a little more work to a type 4.

I'm plan to try it with a 2800 turboed type 4. I'm not sure if the parts will hold or not though.

OK so we are on the same page.
I have got a customer with a Vanagon automatic transmission.
He wants to install a Beetle engine on this transmission.

Will the T-1 flex plate will bolt to the Vanagon torque converter?

No. One is a 3 bolt and the other is a 4 bolt. The hubs have the same rivet pattern so they could be swapped and re-riveted but you'll have to have one of each to do this. If you decide to do this let me know.

I would like to mate my suby to the six rib through the torque converter, Is it possible? What would I need as a pump (flow requirements)?

From what I've heard, Mark is the stick-o-matic expert. You may want to PM or email him directly if he doesn't post a reply soon.
