I ended up with a T-handle empi shifter. I ordered just the ball head one but they sent this one instead. At the time I didn't think it mattered but after installing it last night with the reverse lockout plate that came with it, it doesn't seem to have enough travel side to side. Was wondering if I need to modify the opening of the plate or just run it without the plate, or buy another shifter. I also got my slave cylinder installed and plumbed, was wondering what I need to do make sure I get it adjusted right. Any tips or just a seat of the pants thing. If I can get my waterpump woes cured I maybe on the road with it this weekend. |

Every shifter like that I had to modify. The factory plate just seems not to work that well with that shifter. I usually die grind the opposite side of the reverse lock out. You have to do little at a time and keep checking it till you get all the gears. Once you get it dialed in you might probably like it, i do. This is just my experience, others may vary. Good Luck! |
