:?: i have a Vanagon 091 from a 1981 vanagon, its a sideshifter, does anyone make an adapter to let it shift from the tail like an older 091, ? thanks in advance.

If the shifter is on the side of the tail cone,it can be swapped over to a tail shift with the parts from a tail shift 091 (1976-1979) style. :D

There is a linkage that will allow certain side shifts to connect to a shift tube in a buggy. There are two types of side shifts. The linkage only works for one of them.

Contact "Turboblue" (Gary Davis Racing) on here. I think he sells them.

Yeah I've got them for the 84-91 water cooled vanagon Baitsell.

Eric Debord can convert some of the side shifts to standard shift. He is the best Tranny guy I know of. You can probalbly get his contact info on this site. He is a member of WOODSBUGGY.com.
