i have a Vanagon 091 from a 1981 vanagon, its a sideshifter, does anyone make an adapter to let it shift from the tail like an older 091, ? thanks in advance.

If the shifter is on the side of the tail cone,it can be swapped over to a tail shift with the parts from a tail shift 091 (1976-1979) style.

There is a linkage that will allow certain side shifts to connect to a shift tube in a buggy. There are two types of side shifts. The linkage only works for one of them.

Eric Debord can convert some of the side shifts to standard shift. He is the best Tranny guy I know of. You can probalbly get his contact info on this site. He is a member of WOODSBUGGY.com.
