Hey guys I need some input, My buggy has a 2.3 ford powerplant. It started out with a bug IRS and now has a stock 5 rib. Well reverse didn't last to long, My question is how much trouble/fabrication will it take to put a stock 6 rib in its place?
I usually ride Turkey bay and sand bars on the Mississippi river.
Is it worth putting the 6 rib in or should I just fix my 5 rib and stay with it ???

its much cheaper to fix your 5 rib. reverse is weak in all except the 6 rib side shift.

If your 6 rib is a nose cone shift like your 5 rib, the reverse in that is just as weak as what you have now. If it was me, fix your 5 rib and take it easy when backing up.
