I have a question that I'm hopin the experts on here can help me with. I don't post on here very often but I do read every day, gotta have something to do at work. I have a basically stock 1600 in my buggy, single 2 barrel 40mm carb, car trans (I know), 2X3 arms, and 31" Swampers. My clutch is beginning to slip and I assume needs replaced. I have put more than one stock vw clutch disc in, and was wondering what the next step up would be? I ride mostly trails, but enough cold drinks will make me point it up hill. Nothing near as crazy as some of yall though. I don't have the funds to go all out just yet, but was curious as to what advice I might get. Thanks! |

Probably need to change the pressure plate out to a Kennedy stage 1. I run a kush-lock clutch. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |

Check the depth of your flywheel friction face (where the clutch goes). Make sure that it has not been resurfaced to too low of a depth. Also make sure that the throwout is working perfectly. If the throwout is hanging up, you will see rapid clutch wear. |
