I just have a quick question before I pull the trigger and she'll out some money. I found an 091 trans with a type 2 bell housing that came out of a running van that was converted to electric for $275.00. Is this a good deal or not. I'm new to buggy and on a budget and don't want to spend money that's not nessicary. I plan on installing it into my 4 seat family buggy when I switch to irs.

Well Matt I've been stocking up vs parts for the last couple of years cause my wife bought me a 2 seater a few years back and it's a real basket case. The frame needs a lot of work and the case had a rod put through it a one time and one of the previous owners filled it with jb weld. So I have enough parts on hand to build a 1600. Just hadn't messed with it because love got in the way and had to many irons in the fire. Then a few months ago I came across my 4 seater and it was in a lot beater shape so I hauled it home found that the engine was bad on this one too. So I figured I'd go overboard on this one first. And I will be running this one as hard as possible until it breaks. And mike he basically took a perfectly good van and made it an over sized golf cart I guess. When I talked to him on the phone he sounded kinda out there.

I'll be starting a build thread as soon I can figure out how to post pics. I've already started by starting to widen the link pin beam and add 10 inch towers and gussets to the spindles and carriers.
