Post subject:  6 rib mounting options?

What is the best way to mount a 6 rib with a ecotech bolted to it.

I would say mount it with solid mounts. At the very least a solid mid-mount and solid rear-mount. Whether you want to mount from the top or bottom is up to you - one is no better than the other - just preference and ease of installation. Depending on your cage location you might need a 10° trans mount kit to kick the motor high enough to clear the oil pan from rocks and such. Also going to want motor mounts. You don't want all that weight hanging off the trans when you land a jump.

OK sounds good. I noticed u got the alpha fab ecotec. What extra parts did u have to get for the motor

Mount the trans front and rear as normal and utilize the motor mounts to support the weight and torque.

i would ditch the strap. make a mount to the "ears" on top of the bellhousing.

what mount do you guys suggest for the bellhousing that bolts to the frame horns. i talked to kartek about the bus 10 degree mount and they say it wont work for the 84 and newer sideshift trans.
