Just got hold of 2 . 6 rib trans. Both have 1977 date codes, both have CP as the trans code. But 1 uses the standard. Bug starter the other uses one with a longer be fix shaft, how can a guy tell exactly what trans he's got? Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |

bell housing has been changed on car starter. there is a number on lower side of the tranny in back. I believe. Hope this helped. |

One is longer than the other as well the 091 bell is longer and the short one is 002 so use whatever one your buggy is all rdy set up for and the one your starter will work with |
