A floaty is what was called a beef-a-diff in the old days, it utilizes a steel block in the center that carries the secondary pins for the second set of spider gears. It is weak since the ends are not supported. A true Super diff has pins supported on both ends in the ring carrier. There is a guy on the site that can ship you a german super-diff. It will eliminate diff failures.

Thanks Just traded a 6 rib with a German super diff for one with a Weddle in it. Just wondered if I should try to get the German one back.
