Thing and bus type 2 are identical. A 930 cv will tale more angle than a type 2 and is stronger due to the width and larger ball bearings. |

The thing cv is a type 4 and a bus is a type 2. They are the same except on the type 4 it has a larger opening on on the outer part ( where the axle splines into ) of the cage and runs a smaller ball so it has more articulation. The bus runs out at 17 degrees and the thing type4 runs out at 22 degrees.the thing cv is also just a little thicker I mean it's still a 100mm circumference but a little bit longer so I guess I should have just said they are not the same,lol. Thing CV's were designed with more angular deflection and the balls are between car and bus in diameter size and for a buggy are strong enough. One other thing to consider is if you build your buggy to use type 2 CV's they are easier to come by out in the pucker brush when you need to borrow one. JMHO |

I ran type 4 cv's on my old buggy for 6 years and never had a failure. I sold the buggy to rail1914 last year and they are still going strong. |

Plus you get more angle out of type 4 I did a quick check of wall thickness at the bottom of the ball groove and the type 2 is .412 and the type 4 is .439 which is .027 more for the type 4. I've seen lightened 930's for racing and am curious how thick they end up being. |
