 Post subject: 930 swap question

My brother wanted me to post this question since he is working he is wanting to do his 930 swap by this weekend he has stub axles and was going to order the rest of the stuff but before doing so will his stock axles work with 930 CVS or are the bigger diff splines on the axle? Thanks fellas

ok so where can i get the axles from and the cheaper the better but want quality that will hold up

i i was told there is 18 3/4 and 19 1/4 axles i have aplletree 2x3 witch ones would i neeed any info would be appreciated

Can't have both. Quality costs $$$ and if your into cheap China crap Appletree is a good place to start. What is he doing about drive flanges, boots and bolts? The axle length he is using now would be the same for the 930

are apple trees that bad i thought they were decent trailing arms but every one says diffrent and so i still want 18 3/4 axles and all i have right now is the stub axles china made

i have been lookinf for axles kits and they seem to only mention 15 5/8 and 19 1/4 for stock or 3x3 cant seem to find 18 3/4 what i have now

You will also need the 930 drive flanges for the trans.

the apple tree arms are not too bad, they do need boxed...the kit they sell comes with all china empi junk....stubs,flanges axles,cv joints etc....the biggest problem is that the empi axles fit the empi cv joints very loose at the splines. they jerk bad between shifts and on/off/on throttle.....i ended up buying 4 lobro cv joints and it at least fixed that problem....before i bought the lobros i sent empi axles and cv joints back to appletree 2 times and they never sent back a set that the splines werent screwed up on them....on a positive note if you tear up just one trailing arm and need a replacement,they build them in house and will sell just one

ya my brother is gonna buy my the drive flanges for my axles and cvs and type 2 stub axles but got to find 18 3/4 for 2x3 see kits for 3x3 but none for the 2x3
