What axle length should be used for stock trailing arms with 930 CVs? I am running 16 1/4". They don't bind at flat parallelism or full droop or compression but seem to be sliding down against the axle stub end. I replaced a torn boot and noticed some wear on the axle end at a slight angle next to the retaining clip. My droop angle is at max having a 3/8" notched spring plate.

If you axle ends are not domed like the newer after market axles then they will be. I only run boot clamps on the cv side not the axle to prevent the boot from tearing.

I would question the need for 930 cv's with stock arms. Your not going to gain anything in angle to justify the expense of the drive flanges, axles, stub axles, boots and bolts. The only reason I can see going through the expense is if your running a BIG horse power motor like an LS1 or a supercharged ecotech. OR if your running 2x3 and bigger arms and want to improve your angles.

My boot didn't rip on its on. I was trying to remove the cv bolts to put disk on it when I slipped and cut a hole in the boot. The reason for 930 CVs was 1st I got a deal on them, just a little more than bus CVs and 2nd I will have them when I upgrade.
Thanks for the info Eric. Will you be at Hawks Pride? I will Friday morning with my usual crew.
