been having problem with bolts backing out on mainly the outter CV's. I'm talking about over time period of just a few hours riding it's been doing this. Not seeing anything noticably out of place to cause it but something obviously is. Anyone had similiar problem?

Used to have to tighten them every stage on ours, no matter now tight they were they still backed off from the vibration.
Put Nordlock washers under them, never been an issue since.

When you pack grease in your cv's make sure the holes stay dry and put some blue loctite on the bolts. I guess you could drill them and safety wire them.

I have lock washers on mine and also after you get them tight, take a pair of vise grips and go back over them you will be amassed how much tighter they will get

I use a 12 point 3/8" socket and 3/8 breaker bar. No locktite or lock washers used and I have never had one come lose.

I've used loctite, VC3, schnorr washers, red loctite with primer, nothing kept them tight. The Nordlocks do though, never worry about them now. Come damn close to rounding the heads out trying to slacken them though :D

anyone know right off hand how much these nordlocks are? I havent tried loc-tite or anything yet, I usually leave that as a last resort but I'm getting to the point now of putting some red loc-tite on em!!!

Are you using the cheapo CV boots with the tin plate flange? If so maybe they are crushing on you allowing the bolts to loosen up.

If you have alot of grease between the cv and stub axle they will loosen up. Always clean the grease of the outer edges real good before putting them together and this should cure your problem.also like ody said the same goes for the cv boots as well. Chad
