I guess the price isn't that bad if compared to a $10,000.00 Weddle. Wonder what the feed back is and how serious you can get with the horsepower?

What gear ratios are we looking at? We use these in the woods and this might be a very good fit. But we need a fairly low first gear to launch up a hill from a dead stop.

Hi Jason,

I currently have 3.9, 4.1 and 4.4 done.

Am also testing 4.86 as well.

You can use any of the Subaru gear stacks in combination with these final drives.

Well Steve and Bill, try this out for me and get the bugs worked out. This would make me run a subie if the trans can just bolt up!

My guess is you won't be restricted to just a subaru engine. The already have an adapter to VW engines and I'm sure you could get an adapter made for an Ecotec, Honda, LS series or whatever you wanted. All they do is machine an adapter plate and create a new center section for the flywheel. I'd think Hecker or Kennedy could hook it up.

Their complete trans is $4500 plus shipping. Not sure what it would cost to ship here from down under but considering what were paying for a built VW trans, it's not tooooooo unreasonable.

I'm not sure that's such a terrible deal at $5000. Mendeola is around the same price for a 4 speed with a weak reverse. Might as well have a five speed, modern technology and good strong gears. Compared to the VW it's expensive but compared to a high end Mendeola, Albins or Fortin it's a steal. Still way out of my budget.

So does a stock subie trans not have computer controls? And if so does this one have them removed?
